Terms of Service & Refund Policy

Last updated · August 2026 · Lancaster County

All sales are final. The Native Way is delivered the moment your payment clears, so it cannot be returned and we do not refund a change of mind. If you paid and your book did not reach you, write to us and we will put it right — that is what the seven-day window below is for.

1Who we are

This website (“the Site”) and the digital product The Native Way (“the Almanac”) are published by Joseph Standing Elk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing or using the Almanac you agree to these Terms.

2What you are buying

The Almanac is a single, downloadable, illustrated digital ebook (PDF), 203 pages. Purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, lifetime license to read and print the Almanac for your own household use, plus all future revisions of the same edition at no extra charge. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or share the file.

3Pricing & payment

4Delivery

Access is delivered instantly — a download link to the PDF is emailed to the address you provide at checkout, normally within 60 seconds of payment. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder and then contact us.

5Refund policy

All sales are final. Delivery is electronic and immediate: the entire product is transferred to you the moment payment clears, nothing can be returned, and nothing can be un-read. We therefore do not offer refunds, exchanges or credits for a change of mind, for buying by mistake, for buying the same book twice by choice, or because the book was not what you imagined it would be.

By completing your purchase you acknowledge that you are buying a digital product that is delivered instantly, that you are receiving it in full at that moment, and that no refund will be issued except in the narrow circumstances set out below.

We do refund, within seven (7) days of purchase, in these circumstances only:

In each of those cases, write to us first. Almost every report of a missing book is a delivery problem we can fix in minutes by sending you a fresh library link, and a working book is a better outcome for you than a refund.

Delivery is to the address you give us. We are not responsible for a delivery that fails because the email address entered at checkout was wrong or misspelt, because your provider filed our message in a spam or promotions folder, because a mailbox was full, or because a filter at your end rejected it. Tell us and we will resend; we will not treat any of those as a failure to deliver.

Chargebacks and disputes. Because the product is delivered in full and immediately, raising a chargeback or payment dispute rather than contacting us is a breach of these Terms. We keep a record of every purchase and every delivery, including your acceptance of these Terms at checkout, and we will contest disputes with that documentation. Access to the library may be suspended while a dispute is open. If you have a problem, write to us — we would far rather fix it than argue about it.

Nothing here removes rights you hold under the consumer law of your own country. Where local law grants you a right we cannot exclude, that law applies regardless of what is written here.

6Educational content & health disclaimer

The Almanac is educational content only. It describes traditional, time-tested home-care practices — remedies, teas, broths, recipes, and seasonal-living customs from the Plain life — for general information. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nothing in the Almanac is a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or pharmaceutical care.

Always consult a qualified physician or health professional before using any remedy or recipe, before changing anything your doctor has advised, and especially for children, during pregnancy or nursing, for any chronic or serious condition, or alongside medications. Check for allergies and use your own good judgment. Results and individual experiences vary, and we make no health, cure, or treatment claims. You are responsible for your own safety, and we are not liable for any loss, injury, or harm arising from use of the Almanac.

7Intellectual property

All text, illustrations, recipes, the cover, the persona “Joseph Standing Elk”, and the brand “The Native Way” are our property and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Unauthorized copying or redistribution is prohibited.

8Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Almanac is limited to the amount you paid for it. The Almanac is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

9Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its “last updated” date.
